Manufacturers in the United States need to fill 4 million jobs by 2030, according to a workforce study by The Manufacturing Institute and Deloitte. More than half of those jobs could be left unfilled because of two issues: a skills gap and misperceptions about modern manufacturing.
Creators Wanted is the manufacturing industry’s largest campaign to build the workforce of the tomorrow—and inspire, educate and empower a new generation of creators in the United States today. It’s a joint campaign of the National Association of Manufacturers and The Manufacturing Institute, the 501(c)(3) non-profit education and workforce development partner of the NAM.
We’re here for students, parents, people looking for a better career, their communities and our country. With more than 900,000 open jobs in U.S. manufacturing today and potentially more than 2 million jobs left unfilled by 2030, we’re missing the chance to secure the future of manufacturing in the United States and Americans across the country, including students, emerging workers, veterans and individuals in underserved communities, are missing the opportunity to get started on rewarding career paths that aren’t suppressed by mountains of unaffordable debt.
Show your support of the Creators Wanted campaign by giving to the MI! Your support will help give students and other emerging workers opportunities to discover manufacturing careers.
